Spartans and SWC's

Will a Spartan (and a Trojan for that matter) reliably feed SWC lead 200gr?
I tried to search for 'swc' but I get an error msg.

Hello: The STI Spartan 45 I have will shoot 200 grain SWC with no problem. I shot about 200 of them just to use them up Thanks, Eric

Trojans will. Or at least mine hasn't complained about the last 10k or so...

In 45acp Trojans have ramped barrels, Spartans are non-ramped...right?
Considering getting my son a Spartan but it must digest SWC's.
I searched the web but can't get a definitive answer. Seems like Rock Islands for the most part don't like them.

A buddy of mine has a Spartan 45. He's probably got a little over 1K 200 gr SWC that I reload for him through it. He hasn't had any problems yet.

I've shot 200 SWC lead handloads in my Spartan 45 without any problems. Also no problems with 230 and 185 grain hollow points.

Not for me. Ran maybe 500 rounds of SWC and they just would not work. Fiddled with the length. No go. Have maybe 10K of rnfp no problem.

My 45 Spartan runs 200 gr. SWC fine. Only have about 400 through it yet.

Hello: The Trojan 45's I've seen are non ramped barrels. The 40 and 9mm are Wilson/Nowlin ramps. The overall length is important when shooting SWC. You will have to play with the overall length so they feed. Thanks, Eric

Both of mine will

I did start loading Berry's 185 HP's since they are cheaper. I've fired over 5K 200gr SWC's out of all my 45's and had no issues other than they seem to turn into dirty brass way to fast! I swear I don't shoot that much. Do I?
