3 gun match from today. Had a crappy first stage and a slow (although accurate) long range stage (not pictured) and ended up 8th overall. I beat the match winner on two of the stages but he caught be and then some on the long range rifle and long shotgun stages.

Obviously you're better at this than I am, but aren't you holding the pistol "wrong?" i.e. not lined up with your forearm?

Or am I missing something? It's clearly not hampering your accuracy any, I'm just curious. And I freely admit that it could be me that's wrong here

Ah my mistake. I was under the impression that Isosceles was like that too, but that's what I get for assuming something about a stance I don't use haha

It's the typical modern isosceles stance that all competition shooters use these days. You can learn more about this technique from this video :

Ok cool, thanks. It would seem I've been calling what I do modern isosceles when really I've been doing more of a Weaver this whole time. Good shooting, btw, keep it up

Short and sweet match at Marysville. The electronic scoring setup using Practiscore is AMAZING! So easy to use and you get real-time results.

Local concealed carry match. 8 pistol targets followed by 12 with a Smith & Wesson M&P.

This is what lack of practice and bad ammo can do to your game.

First USPSA match of the season was a classifier match. Assuming I did the math right, my average is now 86.6%, which means I will make Master in Limited once the database update runs on the 15th.

I love old school props like the Rhodesian wall. They should do more matches like this.

My first Steel Challenge as I am new to all this. It was a bit of a hybrid event as there were 4 Steel Challenge stages and 4 Ruger Rimfire stages. I shot all pistol stages with my Sig 1911-22. Here is a short video of me on Five to Go on my last two strings.

Shot my first match with my full Open division rig. It's a Glock 22 slide with Trijicon RMR low mounted in the slide, a KKM barrel and comp and that's pretty much it. I put this top end on my Limited gun and it makes a decent, although maybe not ideal Open gun.

I have been wanting to shoot in a competition for a loooooong time, but I find I can't really afford to shoot enough ammo to practice as much as I would want to

any suggestions on saving some cash on that amount of ammo? (websites, etc...)

thanks! loved watching the vids
