south east mi idpa?

i am interested in getting into idpa. i've been shooting my entire life, and at this point i would like to get into some competitive shooting.

i would, however, like to go and watch a match or two before i jump in with both feet.

anybody out there have any contact info for me in the metro detroit area? i've checked some local web-sites and haven't really seen any specific contact email addresses or phone numbers.

any help would be greatly appreciated.

Posts: 1,866 has IDPA practices every Saturday morning during the winter and then Wednesday nights during the summer.

There are quite a few other IDPA clubs too:
Raccoon Hunters near metro airport
Tri-county Sportsmens League in Ypsi/Ann Arbor
Capitol City Rifle Club just east of Lansing

There are others listed on the IDPA webiste, just depends on how far you want to drive.

Raccoon Hunters or Tri-county may be doing matches already, but most of the other clubs don't start matches until March or April. I think Tri-county and Raccoon hunters will also be having Wednesday night IDPA practice sessions beginning in April.

Cowboy ~ Combat a division of the Blue Water Sportsman's Association has IDPA, IPSC, NRA Action Pistol and all sorts of other combat pistol matches. they also run the Cowboy matches...

the BWSA is just off I-94 between Marysville and Port Huron...
