Great day at the range.

I took my Para P-16 and Springfield Armory V-16 45 Super to the range at Bass Pro shops in Springfield today. I went to try out a new bushing on the Para. My groups improved nicely. I am still getting used to my Springfield. The range master handed me a challenge that their competition class was having. I was suppossed to duplicate the Smiley Face by Mel Gibson in Lethal Weapon. I had eight shots in 20 seconds to get two eyes, a nose, and five lips, freehand. Their best so far had been 3 of eight. I somehow managed 6 of 8. Made my day. Man! I love that Springfield.

I am considering having one of my .45's ported. Do you find the V12 porting reduces recoil significantly? Thanks.

I have the V16 and yes the porting makes a world of difference. With the 45 super rounds it shoots like a regular acp round. With the 45 acp it shoots much like a 9mm. one extra inch(its a longslide) and the porting id great.
