okay, so I saw the two "rambo" threads that were closed, one of them mine. My question would be why were two threads that were as much gun related as any other movie thread(inlcuding the 1911 movie thread that references a stallone film)closed. Supposing that a great many people don't like Sly, they are free to voice such an opinion, indeed they often do, but it seems a shame to silence genuine discussion of cinematic gunplay for the sake of naysayers who don't have to read the thread if they don't want to, or who are free to hijack the thread by discussing stallone's politics when the topic is the guns in the movie.

call me crazy but closing a gun related thread rather than offering reproach to the hijacking of the thread by the politically minded folk(they have their own forum) seems like its against forum policy.

maybe i'm silly and naive to think that discussions which meet the criteria for the forum topic ought to be allowed to take their course despite some folk's beef with hollywood.

Seeing two other threads about Rambo already closed should have been a good indicator.

You ask why the thread was closed, the answer to the closure was posted in the thread itself. You won't find many Rambo fans here.. Seems he is anti-gun. Other threads concerning him and his latest movie have been closed.

Asking why here will not produce a different answer.
