EDC X9 owners...what holster is your favorite for this gun ???

Howdy folks.

I was told that my EDC X9 pistola should be here in the next couple of weeks.

I've received a Tucker HF-1 that was made for it. It should handle my OWB carry.

I'm wondering what you've found to be your favorite IWB holster ?

I generally like SS2 & Criterion for commander & 5".

I'm kicking myself for not going ahead and at least ordering a SS2 when I ordered the gun. Just wasn't sure if I wanted to go straight drop or cant. I tend to prefer the SS2 lately a I sometimes carry commanders in front of my hip, too. Versatile & comfortable.

Was curious as to what you've found to be your preferred holster for yours.

Thanks.

P.S.-I didn't ask this on the kydex/leather forum due to simply wanting to hear from only folks who've spent time carrying the EDC X9.

Should have also added my gun won't have a rail.

I am considering an X9. I will probably go with a Garrett Industries Leather lined Kydex. I use these with my other carry guns and they work very well. Attached is a pix of one for SW Model 60 3".

Milt Sparks Criterion for IWB; Tucker HF1 for OWB (the Milt Sparks 55BN is a close second, but itís more difficult to thread on my belt around my pant loops); Milt Sparks 1AT for range work.

Milt Sparks Criterion and 55BN just like any other gun. The only two models that I use. My Criterions do get more carry time with most all of my guns.

My favorite IWB for any 1911-style gun is the Sparks Criterion; for OWB carry it is a Jason Winnie J111 (pancake) or Thad Rybka Rhodesian (straight drop), and for general range trips or high round count training days it is the Rhodesian or a Sparks 1AT-RT.

Thanks.

I'm not surprised in the answers.

I could easily do one-stop-shopping with the fine folks at Milt Sparks for all my holster needs.

I need to call them anyway, to place an order for some magazine carriers for both 1911 & the EDC X9. I've been using an MS pocket mag carrier & a NeoMag. They work fine....but I'd prefer to get stuff out of my pockets.

For AIWB this is superlative.

https://www.jmcustomkydex.com/p/AIWB-WC2-5.html

JM Custom Kydex Wing Claw 2.5 order the EDC X9 5" model the extra length really helps with AIWB.

From the foregoing posts, it seems as though Wilson Combat and Milt Sparks go together. Pictured are my Classic with SS2 and VM2. I also use the Criterion, Heritage, 55BN and Axiom models.

I have been carrying mine daily in a Milt Sparks VM2 for IWB and a Wilson Low Profile II for OWB. Rarely use the OWB though

I carry mine IWB with a PJHolster with DIY claw and tough clip. Works well but if I didn't have a rail on mine I'd get a Vedder Light Tuck for a 4" 1911.

I wanted to say thanks to everyone for the recommendations.

I may have lucked out hugely. In addition to the HF-1 that Tucker made for me, I located a new VM2 online and its en route now.

Ordered my X9 2 weeks ago. Last week I ordered a Milt Sparks VM2 with mag catches, an Andrew's Custom Palmer Practical and a Garrett Industries ST Champion (leather lined kydex). Got IWB, OWB and Competition holsters in one fell swoop.

I’m bucking the leather trend and going with a JM Custom Kydex holster for mine. I have JM CK holsters for several other guns and I’m very happy with them so I expect no less with this one. If I carried owb id do leather, but my love handles make carrying owb way more difficult than iwb.

I have both a IWB, and OWB made by Gary Broomeland......a Max Con V, and a Defcon, in the presention grade...........really nice holsters, kinda a long wait to get one. If you have ever done any business with Gary, you know what I am talking about, but worth the wait........

Wilson pancake

I bought the leather pancake holster off of their web sight for my EDC-X9. It conceals well, holds the pistol securely but still draws clean. There is no leather fragments on the front sight from the draw stroke, which some of my other 1911 commander holster produce. They are a reasonable price and good quality, buy one it will serve you well.
