I stick with 2 brands: Wilson Combat and Tripp Research. That being said, I typically run 8 rounders.

Great Thread!! It's gonna help me a lot find a grip I like. The stock are nice but not enough grip for me. I need more.

What a day though. Finally paid this off and went straight to the range. Put 100rnds through it. So much more fun than my Gloc...... Very happy. 45acp. Sig Sauer 1911R. Yeah Iím unlikely going to miss. New home defense maybe? Got another 800rnds to test though 😎. Maybe just cause itís so much fun to shoot and damn Iím so much more accurate with it than the polymer frame pistols I have. Federal HST 230 grain.

While not a Sig 1911 this is my first ever Sig. Bought a P229 Legion 9mm today after just stopping into a LGS here just to look around a bit. Will be at the range this Thursday and Friday I'll be sure to bring it to get some rounds down range.

Got some steel action with the P229 Legion today. Pretty impressed with this pistol.

Changed out the grips on my Sig 1911 Compact Nitron for some standard thickness VZ Slants. Also picked up a Wilson Combat Lo Profile holster. Is turning out to be a great combo.

Picked up a C3 Army yesterday. Replaced the Hogue Wraparounds with VZ Slants. Some range time this morning and will now be my new EDC.

If I may? After you get the crud off of your light bezel, apply a little bit of your favorite lip balm to it...Carmex, Chapstick, Duke Cannon's Offensively Large Lip Balm is my favorite. It will not occlude the light and when you get a layer of crud from shooting, it will easily wipe off.

I just use a pencil eraser from a number 2 pencil and it takes it right off.
