Local USPSA match with my UTC

As promised, I am going to compete some in Single Stack during my ďoff seasonĒ from Production. Just taking a break from taking the game seriously, but I still want to keep shooting, so Iíve been having fun goofing around in Single Stack. Hereís a recent match:

https://youtu.be/SSc_3tzNe3U

It wasnít pretty LOL. My main issue was that I have to shift my grip a lot more on a 1911 than my Prod guns (CZs) to hit the mag release. So the first 5 or so mag changes were painfully slow because Iíd get my thumb on the button but not be able to press it all the way. 15 minutes of dry fire would have sorted this out, but I didnít do any haha. Other than awful mag changes it went pretty well.

I ended up first in Single Stack (only 4 of us in the division, though). And I beat all the Production guys too, which was nice because they gave me a hard time for shooting Single Stack before the match

Stay tuned! Iíll provably shoot a couple more matches with this gun in the next couple months before I hit it hard in Production again for next year.

Nice going young man, looks like you've been doing a LOT more shooting than I have. Congrats on your placement with that single stack!

Thanks! I figured I needed some Single Stack practice so I donít embarrass myself at the mini bash here in a few months

Not sure if Iíd do an ambi, but if I were going to keep shooting this gun seriously I would definitely do at least an extended mag release.
