Desert Eagle 1911GSS and 1911C

Got these two for Christmas. The G has a 3.5 lb trigger and the 1911C is 3lb. These guns appear to be well built and the slides are like they are running on glass. At this point I'm excited and looking forward to my first range visit to see how well I can shoot them. Does anyone have any experience with Desert Eagle 1911s? Also both guns have 3 dot sights and checkered front straps and both guns have front serrations on the slides. The 1911C is in 9mm.

After Range Report:

I shoot both these guns better than anything I've got costing less than $1000.00. No malfunctions using 9 different 45acp magazines, and six different 9mm magazines. These guns are keepers for sure.

Are they new? I have had a G and U (3 inch) for years, but mine came with black sights, which I changed to fiber optic. I wonder if the 3 dot are factory. Both mine are flawless shooters. I have been talking about these for years, but everyone seems to have their panties in a wad over the "billboard" on the slide. I can't see it when I shoot and lay it on the left and I still can't see it. Very fine guns, both triggers measured 3.5 lbs and I have several thousand rounds thru each with no issues. Enjoy!

Both guns were new unfired until today. I am pleased with what the Desert Eagle 1911s have evolved into. Never even considered before, but after looking at these guns for awhile and eyeing the fit and finish, 3 dot sights, checkered front strap, front serrations and 3.5 lb trigger pull I was hooked. I was able to put a whole magazine of ammo through one big hole in the target shooting at 7 yards with both guns. They are very accurate pistols.

One way to tell the quality of DE1911's is that used ones are almost impossible to find. That should tell you something.

Very nice. Pretty sweet Christmas at your house. Gifts, or did you treat yourself? Yours both have the newer not so loud billboard. Either ( or both ) come with the matching knife? It's a gimmick, but still, free knife.

I own the DE1911G. Have had it for 7 years now. Beautiful handgun, runs like a machine and the trigger break is like glass. As someone else said, try to find a used one.

I've had my DE1911G since late 2010, when there was only one model. It was one of the first with the front cocking serrations (FCS). Serial number below 1500. HUGE BILLBOARD. Is it for sale? Not a chance.

They appear to use Kimber sights. Any connection to Kimber or CMC?
