Same gun as daily duty/off-duty: Springfield TRP Stainless. Cocked and locked with duty Fed 230+P HST in chamber and in magazine. On the nightstand in the open if the grandbabies aren't home, in the night stand drawer if they are. Bushmaster AR-15 "Cruiser ready" leaned against bed if no grandbabies, in the closet if they are home. 30 rd mag with WW 62gr Split Core Hollowpoint PD load. Cell phone, Surefire light, and large fire extinguisher by bed as well.
My beagle sleeps with us, but unless an intruder was bringing in cheeseburgers she couldn't care less....but she will sometimes let you know if something goes bump in the night...especially if it's anywhere near her food bowl or toy box! Final line of defense is the wife. Just tell her there is a sale at Wal-Mart and she'll run over anyone in the way.....and if I want her to know that I'll tell her myself, thankyou!

My RIA FS GI loaded with 230 gr FMJ on the nightstand. On the floor between the nightstand and the bed is my Smith and Wesson 6 inch Model 29 with factory loaded hollow points. I'm old so I'm well armed...

I just added the 3 inch Kimber K6 revolver to my night stand vault.

If I don't hit em I'll blind em with the muzzle flash...

Sig P220 ST with Surefire X300U chambered with extra magazine along with a Ruger SP101 3 loaded with an extra speed loader. Those are in a quick access gun safe. There is also a 14.5 AR ready to rock in a solo vault mounted with an Aimpoint rds not far from where we sleep. At least one of my CCW guns are loaded in another quick access pistol safe near my rifle.

Three inch barreled Mod. 65 loaded with semi jacked hp, snapped in a leather holster under my pillow.

For years I kept my G19 in my Fobus paddle holster under my pillow, fully loaded with hp +p and one in the chamber, but I decided that I didn't want to run the risk of spring fatigue if I ever needed it for business, even though I rotated magazines about every month. That's why I switched to the revolver. I never keep a firearm in the night stand.

STI Costa Carry Comp with a Streamlight TLR-7 in a quick access safe on the nightstand and an old retired Remington 870 police propped up beside it.

Wife has a STI VIP steel framed 2011 upgraded with a fiber optic front sight and Extreme Shooters grip on it in another nightstand safe.

I have 2 really big dogs and the Mrs has a sr45 close by. If anyone can get past the dogs and her then I guess I would have to get up

My 357 is always close at hand.

Night Stand GUN

Just for ****s & giggles I change them out often. I am proficient with each. Its is what tickles my fancy on that day. Could be a DW 1911 in Super 38, CZ P10c,FN9 or a HK VP9. all have night sights. Occasionally throw in a 45acp 1911 or Glock just to keep them honest. My jazzed up G23 does duty too. Only thing they all have in common other than owner is ammo. All are ready and loaded with Underwood Xtreme Defense in the approp calibre. Close by is a Franken AR all the best internals with FBI anti personnel ammo on board, right next to the night stand is a small, large loop, lever gun in .357Mag, holding a mag full of Underwood hunting ammo. 357Mag, clocked at 1950FPS with the Leigh Defense Round. Should be a fun time...

Cocked and locked, or cocked with the safety on.

Update

Due to reading this thread:

https://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=983636

... recently implemented an iterim approach of keeping a Ruger AR-556 next to the night-stand. A rifle with hypersonic report is not my prefered solution, so RSN I plan to pattern my Mossberg 12ga, using 00 buck for the immediate long-arm role.

I sleep next to my safe, so there's LOTS more where that came from.
