I am looking for a 1911 type gun in 9mm for fun at the range and training with cheaper ammo.
What is the most reliable 9mm out there for me to go with with the most avaialble magazines, etc?
STI doublestack is how i was leaning, but I figured i may be missing some other great options. I have always seen the 1911 as only really viable/reliable in 45, but maybe i am wrong on that.
If you have a chance get your hands on a CZ 75, there are many models. All metal, extremely reliable, very accurate and great ergonomics. At 20 yds I can shoot it as well as my CQB. Never had any problems of any kind. No, I don't work for them. Might want to expand your search.
As much as I like my Colts, the SA Range Officer is nice in the around $800 or maybe better if you get a deal. You have a 5 inch 1911 with adjustable sights with one of these, but they might be worth a look.
