Got 300 rounds through it, not a single issue with it feeding or firing. It seems to be shooting a little to the left though.

Phew! Finally have read through all the posts...yes - 160 pages!

Bought my EMP 9mm a couple weeks ago (and posted a couple notes); have taken to the range two more times. Probably have 500 rounds through it in all.

Have bought 3 extra mags (and will send those 3 + one of my originals to LOG_MAN) for his flush magazine mod.

Will probably replace the ambi safety with a single side; will probably replace the slide stop with a SS one.

...Other than that - not too sure on any other mods I will make in the near future (although there are a couple from SACS I'd like) - but not like some of you guys...spending as much as the gun cost on mods....

...speaking of how much the gun cost -

I saw 'my' EMP on a local gun forum for sale...wasn't really looking (as I knew how much they normally cost); but - I noticed the seller was interested in buying a KelTec Sub2000 in Glock 9mm (which I happened to have)...it took some dealing but I traded my Subby; a Ruger LC9 with CT grips (that I had bought less than a week earlier); 3-33 round Glock mags + holder for the Subby; + 1100 rounds of 9mm FMJ. All in all...a pretty good deal for both of us.

Anyway, I'll post more pix when I get my mods done.

Great gun though!

Yes if local to you (no FFL fees, no shipping) - even with $30 in fees or shipping it's a good deal (I traded approx $1000 worth for mine...and it was 98%/used also)

I got a six year old Sig c3 1911 at a gunshow for 500.00. Sig replaced the barrel, recoil spring, and extractor on their dime. A year later I traded it even off for a two week old Sig 938 Extreme. Sig replaced the extractor, and recoil spring again their dime.
Today I traded the 938 and 350.00 for an EMP 40 that looks next to unused. I know the guy somewhat and he says he put 50 rounds thru it.
I put 150 JRN and 25 JHP thru it. I fell for it completely. My perfect 850.00 installment plan EMP-40 G10

Shot 100 115 grn fmj through the new to us EMP 9 today for the first time. No issues. I'll have to try some jhp next time. It seemed like it may be shooting a bit low and right, but I'll have to try it off a rest to make sure it wasn't just me. I think my daughter will really like it. Shoots really nice. Feels like less recoil than my 4" XD9.

Emp issues

Didn't read all the posts but from other replies your worried about some of the issues which some have posted.

I have had issues with cycling HP Ammunition.

Springfield made it right and it took less than a week to get back to me.

DO NOT WORRY, I have many and this is one of my favorites and IS my concealed Carry weapon. It's a great little gun and SA is a great Co. to deal with and stand behind their product.

Good hunting.

Mine had same problem.

Trip to SA and 7 days later the had:
Cut the feed ramp
Tuned the extractor
Pinned the ejector

and all was well. Send it back, they'll do right by you.

Have an EMP and large hands. Looked for thicker grips so my trigger finger would address the trigger better. Looked at different grip makers but found the grip made for the EMP were the same thickness as the stock grips. Not sure if this will help anyone but I ordered grips for a compact 1911 and with very little modifications found they provided the added thickness I was looking for. Both grips were worked on. The right grip had the notch filed a little deeper to allow the mag release to clear. The left grip was filed on the top left to allow the slide stop to be taken out. These mods took only about 30 mins. The compact grips are thicker and for me provide better support than the stock grips. Knowing the compact grips will work also opens up more grip options from grip makers not making EMP grips. Hope this helps.

Count me as another Log man customer. Got my carry magazine back today and the workmanship is absolutely outstanding. Just a shame Springfield does not provide a flush choice for a gun made to carry. Price paid for advertising 8 + 1 rounds.
The miracle of supply and demand is, when a need devolops, someone will fill that need.

Bought mine about a month ago. No regrets whatsoever. Over 200 rounds w/no issues, other than a extreme pleasure to shoot.

Looking to replace my firing pin stop. Will a Wilson Combat bullet proof one work for a .45? Brownells didn't specify if it was caliber specific so I'm assuming its for a .45 anyway but my EMP is obviously a 9mm.
