Which OWB leather holster for Les Baer Custom Carry 1911

Greetings!

Looking to pick up my first leather OWB holster to occasionally carry my Les Baer custom carry 1911 OWB when I am not carrying my glock 43 concealed and want to show off the beautiful Les Baer.

Can anyone reccomend some good leather holsters that would work well for this pistol? Ideally under $100 if possible? I have an original lou alessi IWB holster that came with the gun when I purchased it from a friend but would also like a good leather OWB.

Recommendations for a proper leather gunbelt would also be appreciated!

Thank you!

Not under $100, unless you find a used one.

For me, nothing finer than a Milt Sparks 55BN

I don't know if you've seen our "OWB holster picture thread" sticky, but it may give you some ideas.

https://forums.1911forum.com/showthread.php?t=204433

Most of the leather holster makers also make belts, but here are a couple of dedicated belt makers.

A&G Custom Leather https://agcustomgunleather.com

Can't beat a holster from Warbird Leather. Paul is a heck of a craftsman, a forum member, and just a nice guy. Do a forum search for Warbird and you'll find all sorts of threads. Paul doesn't have a website. Just uses word of mouth and the forums for advertising. Highly recommended!

I like the Galco Avenger. Just a hair over $100, though.

My vote is the Tucker HF-1 OWB holster and their gun belt. For an all steel 1911, the HF-1 is the only holster, for me, that can distribute and comfortably support all of that weight. They aren't cheap, and they're a bit weird looking, but they are the absolute best, IMHO.

The more I research the more I seem to agree, might need to spend a little more but those HF1s sure look awesome! I also like that I can get the U.S. Army emblem on, very cool! Appreciate all the continued input from the members here!

For cheap but decent look into Azula Holsters. I have several pancake holsters from them and never found such a good holster for under $50. Made in South Africa. Distributed from North Carolina.
There are some good beltmakers out there, but I like The Beltman.

Try a Garrity Gun Leather holster. He can accommodate an Olight PL Mini or Surefire XC1 if you have any guns with rails.

Another would be a Milt Sparks 55BN or a #60TK. The 60TK holds the gun very high, which you may like.

For a barbecue rig I would start with Tucker and probably end there. Beltman makes good belts but they do run full size and square. Many concealment holsters are made for a skived belt and don't fit Beltman. If they do fit Beltman the holster is loose on a tapered, skived, concealment holster. Then again depending on the Alessi I suggest a holster that matches as I have with a GWH for inside waist band and an ACP for outside waistband with nearly the same carry and presentation.

Cudas are great holsters. Have a Simply Rugged of one style or another for all of my handguns. Wearing a SR belt now as well. Rob does them all well.

If the OP wants a cheap holster for an expensive gun, goto Ebay. Lots of serviceable stuff there.

He should also refer to the best $50 holsters thread

I love the one that fit both a glock and 1911.
