MicroCompact frame finish question

The newer ones come with black finished frame; mine is natural darkish silver color. What is this finish--anodized, natural? It marks up with black marks pretty easily; what would clean them best? Any recommendations for refinishing?

I also have a lightweight SA micro with the plain silver finished frame that matches the stainless slide. The frame's silver finish was wearing through and showing black in numerous places. I just sent the pistol back to the SA custom shop to have the frontstrap checkered and then to have it refinished with "Black-T". I've had 5 or 6 other pistols finished with "Black-T" and I have been very pleased with the satin black finish that has held up extremely well. Biggest problem with Birdsong's (Black-T) is they are usually backlogged with Gov't contracts and it can take a while to get done, but I'm willing to wait for a superior finish that will last.

That's good to hear. I just e-mail'd Deb to see if A-kote or BLack-T would adhere to the frame and slide of my stainless UC LTWT. I want to have a few things done to it and refinished. I'll probably go with the A-Kote in hopes of getting it back sooner unless the Black -T adheres better.
