Rogers Colt

Chuck got this one finished up a little while back. Iíve been carrying it a LOT and shooting it a LOT. It performs as Iíve come to expect from his creations.

Thanks. This one originally belonged to Ben L. Makes it that much more special to me.

Nice clean build. When was this pistol built? If unknown, at least what era?

How does it shoot?

The Golfballs, Bobnose & Tier One sights are all hallmarks of Chuck's current work. I suspect that it was done in the teens.

Tim is essentially correct however it was originally built in 2004-5ish with Novak sights, a flat ms housing w/lanyard loop, factory barrel, and plain front strap. The internals were “full house”.
Sometime around 2013 or 14 Chuck added his sights and a checkered EB wedge ms housing for me.
At the turn of this decade Chuck bobnosed it, fit a Kart barrel, custom made a wedge style ms housing w/ lanyard loop and golballed the front strap along with a few other tweaks. This gun shoots everything I’ve put I through it extremely well but the load it likes best is Sig’s 200gr V-Crown. This would not my choice for duty/carry ammo but the accuracy is there.

Ben L. was Ben Lenett, a LEO, rep/consultant to both Robar and Eagle Industries, and a great guy. He died as a result of injuries sustained in the line of duty. The world is is a poorer place with his loss.

It hadn't occurred to me that it would have made serial trips back to Chuck! Thanks for the details.
