I love my LGS sales crew.

I have to admit a few decades ago I wouldn't visit the Pawn Shop very often, trying to maintain a perspective because I was always in uniform and didn't want the attention from Command or the juniors under me. Silly now that I look back. I had a better relationship with the Gun shop who often made me good deals.

But after many decades of being in business the ATF shut him down over missing records and poor business practices. Anyway, it forced me to start going to the Pawn Shop for my new and used gun purchases. Fortunately the sales people started to become friends, and the girls would send me photos of new guns coming in, both new and used. The great deals also involved a good gunsmith in the building who checked every gun that went in the counter or/on the wall racks.

Of course once they realized I buy a lot of guns, they knew how to feed my addiction. It's more like the scenes from a Cheers episode, when I walk in it's like "Hey Rick!" The girls are texting me the photos and messages all the time either on cell phone or Facebook.

There have been times when funds were a little dry, yet they have put new or used guns away for me if I wanted it. Even knew that when I walked in they would say "We have something just for you" But they know how to bait a hook and reel me in, LOL!

Sound more they know they know they have a gun buying SUCKER !! Business is low text Rick !!

3/10ths of a mile down the road I have a large real deal general store that happens to also display 400 + firearms and it seems like theres always several firearm being bought or checked in off a ups truck . They keep about 6 people in staff all the time and if you see what you want in the firearm section you may have to wait a while to get a case un locked . No need to text people to get them in unless you special ordered something .

What is worse than a good relationship with the LGS is was being a part time employee in the gun store. I used to work Saturdays and employees got to see the merchandise first AND got an employee discount!

I worked in that gun store for over two years and never took home a paycheck. Not one time. I always had some gem or three on layaway.

I did get some fine guns that I still have today. I think about the ones I could have had and passed on. Wow!
