1911 books

I have Layne Simpson’s The Custom Government Model Pistol, but I’m looking for other good reading materials.
Thanks!

You might want to look at Patrick Sweeney's "Big Fat Book of the .45 ACP." He also wrote "The Gun Digest Book of the 1911 Volume 1" and "The Gun Digest Book of the 1911 Volume 2." I found all to be interesting and informative.

If you're looking for technical "how to" books, Kuhnhausen's Volumes 1 & 2 were a gold mine for me and many others that post here.

Look at Walt Kuleck's Vol 1 and 2 "The M1911 Complete Owners Guide". These are very useful books.

Also Sweeney's other book, "1911, The First Hundred Years."
