So this is my first time ever shooting multigun. It's a blast to shoot three different kinds of guns on the clock. The stress of remembering to make my guns safe and the extensive plan is a lot higher than the traditional USPSA matches I've shot. I'm sure if you do it often you'll get used to it just like anything.

My Contour didn't work very well today so I managed to get only two stages but you can see the massive failures at loading my guns, especially the shotgun. I only had like 15mins of practice a few months ago.

I can see why it's so interesting for the multi gunners but I think I'll stick to my Open pistol for now. It's a lot of work bringing three different sets of gear and ammo to a match.

Big thanks to Alex Smith and other volunteers who set this match up!

Fix your gun....the mags need to drop free without you flicking them out and too many jams, although I guess that video was the June one and the recent ones it seems to work better.

Try to speed up your transitions to more closely match your splits. You are losing a lot of time there. Practice with a timer and review the shot intervals, you'd be surprised how much time you are losing in between targets.

Thanks for the tips. I think I got the gun problem figured out, and it will be going to the gunsmith this week.

I can't blame the gun for the mags not dropping free that is a training habit that was developed using a Glock. I will work on that to.
Thanks for the tips.

sucks when you're out of practice. Shooting is also another perishable skill

My mind and dot are out of sync. I can't seem to control it and it just does what it wants. Perhaps its a confidence issue. Anyway, probably need to do some mental conditioning.

I will throw this out there. I am a D Class Production shooter (very slowly improving the last 5 years, almost to C now). This was a match from a week ago, last USPSA match for the season.

WolfCreek:

Thanks for posting. You have the accuracy, now if you can just be efficient and shoot A's as quickly as possible. Your video reminderd me how nice the range is at Missoula. The last time I shot on your range was an Area One Match in 2005.

Thank you. My family has told me for a long time that I think too much, I just need to "do". Works ok in High Power, not so much in this or 3Gun. The last few years I have been shooting Single Stack, and this year decided to give Production a go. I will make a run at C class again next year.

Ahhh! I'm finally getting my mojo back. That and you know the popular saying, "When the cat's away, the mouse come out to play". The usual suspects are shooting the USPSA Nationals and that gave me the opportunity to get up there. Anyway, I'll take it!

Was a great match and shot with a fun squad.

Sigtac,
You need to start planning your stages better and really figuring out what you're going to do during your walk through. Your stage 4 vid looks as though you were surprised a few times and lost at others. Better stage planning and really visualizing what you want to do during your walk throughs will help to alleviate most of those jitters

Out of synch

Quote:
My mind and dot are out of sync.
yeah, it happens.... I usually practice Bill Drill's from 6, 10, and 15 yds to get back to tracking the dot..... I also make sure of my grip when I am making my draw, since a sloppy grip will allow the dot to go wherever it wants...! Just make sure your trigger finger stays relaxed while your grip is firm.....any tension on the trigger finger will create issues.....

Also nice shooting cindynles
Some time the dark side is a fun place to hangout, I myself allegedly shot a Glock about a week ago in an event.
