WC Knowledge Base Link Repository

In the interest of reducing the number of active "stickies" that were steadily accumulating on the main page and sliding fresh content ever-farther down the page, the following threads of enduring techincal and/or reference interest have been catalogued and linked-to below. (They are no longer stickied as individual topics, but will always be accessible here, and via the usual forum search functionality.)

We will continue this practice over time, so check back on a regular basis for new information and updates.

What happened to the post about the Armor Tuff finish. I was just trying to reference it for somebody in one of the other sub forums and it's not sticky anymore???

Found it: https://forums.1911forum.com/showthre...ght=Armor+Tuff

Should add it up top.

It's nice to see you are able to get back on line. I think it was all our well wishes wanting you to get better.

But don't over tax yourself.

Could we get a little write up about Wilson barrels - what types are available, the differences between them, the materials used, accuracy yields, service life, &c.

Perhaps even some comparison pics??

Just a suggestion.

I was thinking specifically about the barrels that go into the guns, not the ones which are sold as parts. I know that there is cross over, but the link above only seems to show standard bushing barrels - no coned bulls or flanged.

Barrel weights
5" .45 barrel – 3.2oz
5" .45 Tapered cone – 4.6 oz
5" .45 Flanged – 5.0 oz

Thought you guys would like this. These are approximate due to machining differences, caliber etc.
