Bought mine in December 2004 and it has become my favorite carry pistol. Initially sights were very poorly regulated (reportedly very common problem with these short barrelled pistols), but contacted SA customer service and shipped the pistol back under warranty. Pistol was returned very quickly (7 - 10 days), perfectly regulated with a note explaining what corrections they made and a test target showing it was actually refired.
Pistol has been extremely reliable, except with one of the factory supplied mags. After several hundred rounds with complete reliability I've settled on Wilson's (#47OX) Officer Model 7 rounders. Recoil is not nearly as bad as I anticipated and can easily be handled with practice. Mine was the most accurate with Remington 185gr Golden Sabres and they have proven to be 100% reliable in this pistol.
After nearly 2 years of carry, the silver finish on the frame, safety and slide release was wearing off. I finally shipped the pistol back to the SA custom shop to have the frontstrap checkered and have the pistol refinished in
Black-T. Once again, the pistol was returned in a very timely manner and the checkering they applied was perfect. The Black-T finish was beautifully applied as usual.
Only complaint, replacement captured recoil spring & guide rod assembly is pricey ($35.00) and SA seems to be the only source.

I've got a GI Micro steel frame. Very happy with everything but the trigger. I'm used to a 4 1/2 lb trigger and mine was 6 1/2 on a trigger pull gauge. That is at a smith being tuned right now. After about 150 rounds and a ramp and breach face polish it has been a fine pistol. Have over 2,000 through it now. After the trigger job it will be one of my carry pieces!

I carry a 3" Micro Loaded. I recently purchased 3" GI model.

The little extra for the Loaded version from SA is without a doubt worth it!!!!!

I did have to send my "loaded" version back to springfield due to stovepiping problems. Returned in 2 weeks with explaination, 2 new magazines and target to show proof of testing.

Get the Loaded!!!!! The extra's are a real bargain!!!

Micro

I have a Loaded Armor Kote Loaded. I got a great deal on it from Budsgunshop.com a while back because it was discontinued. It is a great little pistol and I have had no issuse with it. It choked on the first 2 rounds fired and has not had a problem since. It with FTF if you don't hold on tight. It has never done it to me, but when I let someone unexperienced try it out, it was having a few issues. I loaded up a mag right afterwords and had no problems.

lovin' and trusting my micro

Picked up a used Micro Compact. Had a some FTF probs at first. infact, the first time I tried Holow Points it wouldn't even feed at all. I polished the ramp a bit an it has not failed to feed since (about 500 rnds.) no matter what I have fed it.

I like shooting it, but I like my full size loaded better. However, I carry my Micro. More comfortable. And as long as I am accurate with it, why not carry the more comfortable one? Because hopefully, that is all I will do with it. Carry. But if I have to actually use it, I know it fits and works.
