Barrel replacement

So I was estimated a very resonable price from Deb at Springfield to have SACS update my '95 steel framed bushing barreled compact 1911 to their current match grade bull barrel and flgr with flat wire spring. My question is if I do this now would it cause me to have to redo it later if I want to get the frame to slide fit tightened up?

Currently the gun has a new egw bushing and Wilson flgr I installed which tightened the groups up substantially to [email protected] it was shooting 8in+ patterns stock but i don't like shooting it with that accuracy so trying to see if I can at least get it shootable to me while saving to get all the work done that would require refinishing done at once.

I would like not having to pay for the same thing twice but at this point the guns more likely to be a paper weight then have me shoot it which is sad because I really want to love this gun.

Frame to slide fit has minimal impact on accuracy. A properly fitted barrel will make a much greater impact. It's a compact - not a bullseye gun and I would think a well fit barrel would more than meet the accuracy requirements for a carry gun.

If they do a proper job fitting the bull barrel the gun will be far more accurate than you are - for a very long time.
