.458 SOCOM is home now.

Brought it home today. It seems very well put together. The cartridges are expensive @ $50 for 20. I need to buy a better optic. Maybe take that Tax return and get some glass and ammo.

That flash suppressor looks like something the kids would fill water balloons with. I've seen those on other AR's, just doesn't look right. How does it shoot?

45-70 power in a semi auto package, what's not to like? Check out the ballistics and the very reason why this round was made for Socom...one shot stop!

If you don't already, I see reloading you your future, lol. Even then it's a pricey round. But sure would be fun out of an ar. I'm to cheap for one so I'm jealous. Enjoy it!

Nice! The RA muzzle brake seems to work well on mine. I paired an RA upper with a PSA lower and it runs great. The ammo is expensive but the gun was not!

Here is an update, I was not able to chamber a round unless I pulled the charging handle back a 2nd time to finally seat the round. It would fire but not cycle and seat the next round, unless I released the magazine and charged the bolt a 2nd time. No matter the brand of ammo or the different magazines same result. So I called Radical Firearms Customer service and they wanted it back to ream and resize the chamber. I'll see how long this takes and if they solve the chambering issue. At least they can spend their money on expensive ammo and give me back a functioning rifle.

Sounds like perhaps a ramp issue? What does the ramp(s) look like? Are they marked up all over, or smooth as baby's arss?

Of the one that gets ejected, what does the case look like?

No ramp issues at all, it feeds all the way except the last little bit.

Radical’s feedramps and chambers have been poorly done for years.

I just got it back yesterday from Radical Firearms with their note written on the bottom of the customer sheet, It said " Test fired with no issue, stock will cause feeding issues if recoil isn't managed. "

It does feed better now, at least inside the house, I will need to fire it later when the rain stops. So they did something and won't admit to what they did and decided to blame me. I don't care if they said what ever makes them feel good, I just wanted a rifle that functions out of the box.

Report will come later after the range time.

That muzzle brake looks like something off of a WW2 German Panzer.

Hard to say what they did or did not do w/o you 1st taking careful measurements. Does anything look like they worked it?

I haven't gotten that close to inspecting it yet. The rounds chamber much easier now. I'll know more when I get some range time later.

Do you have an adjustable gas block on that beauty.

It doesn't say anything about an adjustable gas block in the specs. So I'm going to say NO it does not.

Today is range day. I'll post if it functions properly later.

What stock is on it?
How are they blaming the stock for malfunctions.

It isn't a stock issue, it's just what they said in response so they wouldn't have to admit anything. I missed going to my range today over other issues on my homestead. Like cleaning the pool.
