Hayes Custom Models

I searched this forum for Hayes and HCG and nothing came up which surprised me. Anyone get the RIA done in the HCG package and have the pros and cons? $700 for the gun and another $900 for all the upgrades seems like a pretty sweet deal. Do the HCG route or just buy an STI or DW, etc.?

Thanks

Option 2. Option 1 is still and RIA and doesn't hold its value as well. Well it does but is lower than most.

I like Rock Island pistols, but I wouldn't pay that kind of money for one, regardless of tuning. I would buy something else.

Definitely the Dan Wesson-RIA will always be a RIA regardless of all the custom work.

Check out Honest Outlaw's youtube site. He has a few Hayes modified RIA HCs vids. He loved it.

Will do Jkoppk! I got a message from them last week that it was being test fired but havenít heard anything since. Hope they are doing all right with all this Corona mess going on. Iíll have plenty of time to shoot it for at least a week or two.

Got my Rock back today from Hayes Custom. Work looked beautiful. Had the Race Ready Package done along with an upgraded aftermarket trigger and Dawson front sight.

I took it the range. 200 rounds today of American Eagle and Speer Lawmen. The Rock ran like a sewing machine, completely flawless. Trigger was superb and action and grip feel was excellent. Also has 3 mags tuned along with the pistol. All ran just fine.

I wouldnít hesitate to recommend this package. Money well spent. Hayes took a pistol I liked a lot and made it my favorite. Really well done.

Good news. Just a range gun or a race gun?
