Recommendations for a holster ? 1911 5" full rail with TRL-1

Picking up a new 1911 this week.

5" full rail and will have a TRL-1 attached.

Not concerned with fancy.....kydex is fine....if not preferred as it'll mainly be used din the woods while hunting & scouting. Humidity and bad weather are part of the deal.

OWB style.

I'd appreciate any recommendation you may have for such a holster.

Try calling Blackpoint Tactical to see if they have a 1911 with the full rain. They list Springfield Operator but that's probably the half rail.

I use a holster from High Threat Concealment for my 1911 with X400U. In the drop down menu you can select full rail.

This is the exact holster I had for my Springfield Pro with TLR-1. Was perfect. I sold both, but should have held on to the holster. Short sighted of me to think I wouldnít have another railed 1911....even though I donít.......yet.

Iím so glad to have seen this thread. Iíve had a Kimber Pro TLE/RL II for a few months that Iíve been unable to carry because I couldnít find a light bearing holster for it. Just ordered a IWB Mini Wing that seems like it will work. Thanks for the good info.

Sadly, my new 10mm 1911 is not a sweet Wilson Combat like yours. I really like the features on yours, solid trigger , clean slide, fluted cylinder, blacked out bushing......

I've had the bug for a single premium 1911 in .45 that will get most of my carry use. I'm fairly certain that it's going to be a WC and I'm fairly certain of which model it will be, too. The fluted cylinder and clean slide have been on my wishlist build sheet.

Check and see if Safariland makes an ALS rig for that light combo.

Since this was simply for a 10mm hunting rig...and a budget model at that, I figured there was no need to go too deep in the wallet for a holster.

Found what I needed on eBay.

Thanks.

Was simply impossible to beat the delivery time and low cost. It should work out fine to bang around in duck boats, kayaks or against the tree stands that may be slung over my back.

It's actually fairly dang comfortable, too....especially considering the weight & size fo the gun with the light mounted.

Perfect solution to what I needed.

Glad to have comfortable leather for my normal edc, but grateful for solutions like this to the other needs.

Still haven't made it to the range with it.

Also bought a 10mm Razorback that needs to be broken-in & range tested as well.

There are a couple things with this RIA that I'll address once I do the first full takedown. The grip safety needs more resistance as does the thumb safety.

Trigger and sights are very much to my liking....as is the full rail.

I'm slowly getting my other guns swapped over to fiber optic fronts, too. Really easy on the eyes.
