ok I can get into a wish list since I wish for a new 1911 everynight.

how about a 1903 pocket hammer model in 38acp, or how about a 1911 mustang with v-12 porting in 357 sig. How about some .22 magnum conversion kits from springfield. I would also like to see a correctly marked wwII 1911.
Now as far as wishing in one hand and you no what in the other, lets bring out some revolvers from springfield. How about a centerfire Walker or Dragoon, or how about a old army model. hummmmmm maybe a SAA. OK OK thats going to far. I think I would settle for some of the old bolt action rifles such as a 1917 30-06. Or how about the semi auto m1 carbine, I would buy that. After all of that I think the one thing I would like to see springfield do is bring back the fire blue 1911's, no front sarrations. Thats it!!! A fire blue WWII 1911 correctly marked. With a holster option of your choice. I would sell the ones I have now for one of those.

I too would like to see a blued "Commercial" model. Just a bare bones Sally Rand model blued unmerciful.

A 1903A3 rifle would be sweet.

I would like to have the cosmetic items of the various 1911 models be optional i.e. Vertical or slanted serations, WWII or modern serations, front or no front serations, Snakeskin treatment, 20lpi, 25,lpi or 30 lpi checkering for the MSH and front strap.

I would also like to see a 9mm parkerized loaded.

AR style rifles/carbines in .223, 7.62 Nato and that new caliber that is floating around, I think it is 6.8mm or something close.

A price break on the M-14/Garand rifles.

I think I can live without the 45acp XD pistol. If I am going to shoot that cal it will be with a 1911. I am not sure why some guys are saying that a 45acp Xd is not doable. Glock has a pistol that is chambered in 45acp.

My $.02 in a $1.98 world.

Whitefeather with Swarovski optics

That's the last gun I'm ever going to purchase. Really, I mean it this time.

I'd just like to see them bring the Defenders (.45 GAP) to the market.
After that, they can work on developing a polymer-framed Defender.

How about a .380 or a 9mm on a small frame, kinda like the size of the Mustang.

9mm Defender

I'd love to see the new reduced size Defender developed for the .45GAP chambered in 9mm w/Commander lentgh slide. That Loaded 10mm mentioed several times would also be a must for my safe.

EXACTLY!

I've got a Micro Compact in .45 ACP and I've been toying with turning it over to my gunsmith to turn into a 9mm "CCO".

HiPower/P35!

I doubt that it would happen due to the gun's lack of popularity, but still......
For a long time, I've felt that Browning needed some HiPower competition. I think about what happened in the 1911 world when SA took on Colt twenty years ago, and would love to see it with happen HiPowers.

A little competition there would be a wonderful thing. Not Charles Daly little, but something bigger.

I'd like to see someone like SA start making HPs with "bite-less" hammers, good sights/triggers, and no magazine disconnect- all for less money than Browning asks. Throw in stainless construction, and it's a dream come true.

Perhaps it would stir up more interest in the design, which might in fact be the best thing to come out of it.

OK, now I'll follow that wish witrh one that has a chance.

I've wanted to try out a 5" 1911 in 38 Super since reading Skeeter Skelton's old Border Patrol stories when I was a kid.
So how about a 5" 38 Super (again). I read magazine tests of some they made in bright nickel a couple of years ago, but never saw one "in real life". I'd like to give a blued, Parked, or SS Loaded 38 Super a try.

I don't know enough experience with handguns to ask for specific items or work to be done to 1 certain line.

This is a wish list and I wish for
1 of each from the Springfield Armory.

Easy One...

1. Loaded's with no Front cocking serrations AND vertical or slanted rear serrations as an OPTION.

2. Sight choice on Loaded's per customer request.

3. Grip wood choice per customer request...ie, full checkered, DD, smooth, slim, cocobola, tulipwood, rosewood, etc.

4. Strong side or ambi safety as an OPTION...hate that they all have ambi!!

5. No more ILS.

My dream SPRINGFIELD

I am a huge Springfield Armory fan so I could make this go on for pages but I won't. I don't know if Mr. Leatham will go along with me in my idea. I am a huge fan of his TGO 1 but I don't like the two-tone look it has now. That firearm has every part I am looking for in a 1911 but I keep turning to their competitors for the Black-grey finish. I wish Springfield would offer the Grey-Black finish for all of their 1911's while we are on the topic.

Now on the topic of the XD......I would love to see a fully customized XD on the market. I am an XD owner and I think next to my 1911 it is my most prized possesion. The only downside I see to it is that it looks alittle on the plain side. No special sites, no special barrel, etc. Don't get me wrong it is one of the best firearms in production today as it is now but a few extras would be nice.

Now for the all mighty M1A. I have only one little wish. Hows about a Cluster Rail System for the scout squad. Just a thought. I know I would buy one.

I second the thought of a Springfield Hi-Power. I bet that would be cool. Now that FN is finally dropping it, I'm hoping the patents will finally let go and the Hi-Power aftermarket will take off the same way the 1911 one did, and we'll start to see high quality bare frames and slides come onto market so we can do ground-up builds. I really want to do Hi-Power from scratch, but I'm not going to waste my time doing it with some random crap Sarco got from Southside Outer Mongolia.

Hooray! Another one! Now that there's two of us, maybe we'll see some action!

Could you imagine- Being able to walk into any gunshop and get a HiPower from a U.S. company, that had no provision for a magazine disconnect, was factory equipped with Novak or Heinie sights, had a nice thumb safety, and came with a biteless hammer...........
In the price range of an SA Loaded 1911?

The Springfield Armory Loaded HiPower.
Sounds good.

But I really can't see there being that big of a market for HiPowers.
Then again, if such a thing happened, it just might cause a lot of people to "discover" them.

Startup costs might be relatively low. The HP is/was so popular abroad, there has to be a factory (that SA has already done business with) who has made HPs in the past, with tooling sitting idle that they would be thrilled to put back into use.

I can dream.

A lightweight 9mm "Commander" along the lines of Kimber's "Tactical Pro II".

I really want them to bring back the Mil-Spec Operator, I love the full dustcover look with a rail but not the price the TRP carries to aquire one. And having no front cocking serrations as an option on their guns would be nice too. They could also use an R. Lee Ermey edition gun too, perhaps either the MC Operator or the WWII full-size.
