Joe Biden said Monday that police -- if facing a threat from a person with "a knife or something" -- should be trained to “shoot ‘em in the leg instead of the heart,” amid five straight days of protest following the death of George Floyd.

“Instead of standing there and teaching a cop when there’s an unarmed person coming at ‘em with a knife or something, shoot ‘em in the leg instead of in the heart,” Biden said in an address to black community leaders in Wilmington, Del.

“There are a lot of things that can change,” Biden said, regarding police training.
Sure. Shoot 'em in the leg and hit their femoral artery, causing fatal bleeding regardless. After of course the perp has fired back and killed the officer because he didn't immediately go down thanks to no center-of-mass hit. And that's all assuming the officer was even able to hit a flailing limb in the first place.

Firearms expert, indeed. If this idiot actually gets into office next January this entire country is going to be in bigger trouble than it is now.

You just can't fix STUPID. Slow Joe needs to train his detail to shoot the knife out of any "unarmed" assailants hand. I wonder how that would work.

And when you miss the leg because you're shooting at a smaller target they'll hold you responsible if it hits someone else. They will also say the perpetrator must not have been that threatening because you're only supposed to shoot when your life is in jeopardy.

Well . . . . . . look on the positive side. At least he has given up on the shoot a shotgun
in the air. Biden personifies the stupidity inherent in the dim'z.

I'm thinking it is much closer to time to run them out of office, and a few of them out of
the country.

It will be an absolute miracle if America survives our current crop of politicians. People seem to be intent on finding the stupidest humans they can find and putting them in charge of everything.

Because the attacker is gonna have the same consideration and stab you in the leg, right?

You don't shoot a person because he has a knife in his hand. Not even in the leg.

You shoot someone who closes on you rapidly, with a knife in his hand. Then you aim center of mass, or any place you please.

Just to humor Biden, someone should shoot a pork rump with a shotgun on video. Preferably with #4 buckshot, from about 10 yards. Then ask him if that were the "non-lethal" damage he is aiming for? While they are at it, they should shoot a similar piece of meat with one round from an AR-15 for comparison.

Lethal force is either justified; or it is not. If there is time to "wound", there is time to apply another strategy other than lethal force.

Isn't that sort of like shooting Joe in effigy?

A contemptible crooked politician, Biden is.

Scary to consider that fellow citizens are capable and willing to vote for him and his ilk.

or maybe Joe (or someone in his security detail) could shoot the six wooden knobs of the Maderia saloon with his trusty Winchester 1887 to prove his skills with the ol' shootin iron before any trouble starts?

Hey, it always used to work for Lucas McCain.

If somebody charged Biden with a knife I bet he'd want his Secret Service detail to shoot center of mass and not merely wing him in the leg. Maybe they need to set Biden aside and have a talk with him about the Tueller Drill.

How about Joe the self defense expert start by instructing his Secret Service detail to shoot anyone attacking in the leg. I'm sure Joe will be fine with being stabbed or shot by an attacker who was just wounded. After all, all lives matter.

Imissedagain,

I took me a solid minute staring at those legs, trying to figure out why you posted them.

They need to be in an aggressive pose to serve as a target, rather than a distraction

Biden would want them to shoot the knife. He has seen that done in old Westerns. Before breaking the blade at the recasso with a side shot, Biden would ask his detail to split bullets on the blade's edge; to keep them sharp .

The hardest part about shooting one of these perps in the legs is just figuring out where they are.

Those ARE an agressive pose for female legs; that's how they use them to assault men and whip them!
