New EDC X9 trigger length anxiety.

I searched the forums and found the Wilson "hand-size" chart.

I just want to ask some EDC X9 owners about what trigger length to get. I am going to get small backstrap.

I have smallish males hands...7.25" from tip of index finger to the crease at the wrist. I find the Walther PPQ with small grip insert to be THE best fitting pistol there is for me....the trigger breaks a bit more forward vs. the P99...and it gives me perfect trigger pull. I also find the trigger pull on the Sig P226 SAO legion to be very good (it's grip kind of looks similar to the EDC X9). On my LEM P2000 I use small back strap.

I looked inside my 5-11 glove and found out it was medium size.

Would the small backstrap /medium trigger be ok, or should I go with short trigger??

My apologies if this topic has been raised before, I would appreciate it if members with experience with the pistols I listed above and the EDC x9 could comment.

thank you.

Sounds like the medium trigger would be your best option; with a small backstrap, the short trigger is really for smaller hands.

I think Roger is probably right with the medium but doubt that a small would be too small for you. My wife’s hands are small and she ordered the small backstrap and short trigger. My hands are large or at least long and the medium trigger and small backstrap is good for me. Just measured trigger finger to wrist joint and I am just very slightly longer than you. Tried to look up the actual difference in the trigger lengths and did not find it.

Medium trigger with a small backstrap should work well for you. You could always have a small trigger fitted too just in case you want to try both.

My EDC X9 has a medium trigger and small backstrap and it's grip circumference (gc) is 6.5 inches. Perhaps if other X9 owners having different combinations of trigger and backstraps would measure and report their gc's it might help prospective X9 buyers decide what combinations might work best for them, especially if they can use a gun they already own as comparison.

I measure grip circumference with a string or cloth tape leading from the trigger, around the grip, beneath the beavertail and back to the starting point on the trigger.
