Boy, they sort of over promised and under-delivered on that

They haven't under delivered. Give them a break.

The 4 to 8 weeks was from the kitting date. Everyone knew when ordering these that they were a hot item with a large back log. Even those of us who ordered the first day waited several months.

I'm sure orders have slowed some since the original introduction. After the first big rush they will catch up and reduce the wait. Like anything else new that comes out in any market.

Put this in perspective regarding how much business WC does taking your order number and subtracting mine from 11/15/17 (Centurion Tac) there have been 1,399,392 orders for parts , guns, service etc. Bill's son Ryan is running day-to-day operations now and is a very capable leader for WC, must have been one heck of a Christmas sale success for them.

Huh? That is right in line with what the dealer told me when I placed my order, 6-7 months.

I hope the order number didnít run continuously. More than 1 million orders after Nov seem insane to me.

That is an overwhelming number 1,399,392 orders for parts , guns, service etc. That is hard to believe. Maybe the running total from when they started 40 years ago. That would still be 34,984 orders a year. Or 135 orders each day with a five day work week. The shipping companies must love them.

I’m sure that list includes items such as magazines, springs, sights and such. Yeah it might seem like a lot but I’m sure that it’s not all large ticket items that is truly time consuming.

I got my kit call thanksgiving weekend and I’ve been checking my phone for proper functioning at least twice a day for the past week!

I've been there when UPS picks up in the late afternoon, Several package cars arrive and they are filled when they leave.

My order # 425492** on 11/15/17, and my order #397201** was 7/7/17, and finally #36445*** on 2/10/17; maybe the other businesses they acquired were brought on-line and now all use the WC ordering software?

My last one was ordered May 23rd and "Kitted" October 24th and I'm still waiting to hear about it? It's over 14 weeks right now and no-one knows or will talk about what is going on with it!?

EDCX9 kitted October 24th and still waiting 17 weeks later without any word what so ever?!
I had to send the other one back because my no roll mark slide had "EDC" showing through after it started wearing in?
So two guns I ordered on May 24th both kitted in October are still not here?
Pretty pathetic!

I just paid a premium and bought off gun broker. The extra $200 was easily worth not having to wait 8 or 9 months.

Heck on some other forums that allow gun sales you can buy them sub $3,000 quite often, I wouldn't wait that long for a gun that isn't as customizable as others in their line-up

Ar9

I am thinking about ordering a plain Jane Ar9 carbine with Beretta receiver. Does anyone know what the normal lead time for 9mm carbine is running nowadays?
