New 1911 day (Sig Ultra)

Just took my new EDC home this afternoon. After liquidating my small collection to get into a house, I’m finally able to start acquiring again. Also got my wife a P232 for her birthday (her dream gun) so she is very happy.

Stripping it now as it’s dry as a bone; looks like it wasn’t hardly shot. Can’t wait for a range trip this weekend.

Was really frustrated with my first range trip - gun was shooting high. After doing some research here and online I went back today and changed my sight picture. Was aiming how I did in the past with a standard combat sight picture but this time I aligned the three dots (duh - night sights) and it's spot on (and so am I). That said, it wasn't the gun. Still getting used to that but I have the hang of it now; I just find it easier to align the front post with the rear sight but my groupings say I'm doing good. My first shot at 7 yards was a bullseye! (The splatter target groups were at 20)
