Les Baer sights

I can't see the front sight on my TR, looking at Trijicon HD in yellow.Called Les and they wont install any sights not theirs,I know about the blind pin on the front, don't know where to go for install. I like the Novaks tritium megadot fronts but they say you need to have .145 in the rear notch.

I self installed a 10-8 rear sight on mine, then had Novak install one of their MegaDots.

I sure wish Les would offer a ledge rear.

I wonder what the over/under is on him ever doing so, lol.

Now that I think about it he probably doesn't offer the ledge because he knows there will be a few guys out there.....running their guns hard and practicing one handed racks....... as tight as his guns are...the rear sight wouldn't make it long and he'd be replacing a pile of 'em.

So, Les is one step ahead of us.

I do so love a ledge rear, though.

I just had Novak install sights on a late model Colt slide. They fit the Colt slots without any machining. We used the larger .180 of the two green fibreoptic MegaDot front sights and the plain black LoMount wide notch rear sight. Bill was $119 including install and shipping. Turn around was no more than a week.
I have not yet put the slide back on the frame but I think I will like the end result, as it is similar to the sights on my Colt CCG 1911. I find Baer fixed sights difficult because they omit the white ring encircling the tritium tube used by most others.

I ordered and installed these on my TRS a few weeks ago and could not be happier. Went with the .170 U notch rear.
John will install them as well if you contact him and make arrangements.

Nighthawk Custom will install sights, either yours or theirs. They have a Heine ledge with a 0.156" rear that is just right for fast front sight acquisition.

Anyone know who will install the sights other than Nighthawk? Would I be able to just send in the slide?

Thanx

You can contact John Harrison through the link above. Once he agrees to accept your job you just mail him your slide.

Here is another link:
