Getting my first Wilson tomorrow. (Pics added 3 May)

I am trading a Les Baer Commanche in .38 Super for a Two Tone Wilson Combat CQB. I love the Baer, but .38 Super is not well received here in Jacksonville, Florida. Ammo is expensive and even though I load for it, I hate chasing brass when I shoot it. I have standardized on .45 and 9mm, so she will be going to a new home and the CQB will be coming home with me. Pics when I pick her up tomorrow.

Update 3 May.

Here she is. The gun is in beautiful shape. Build date was 2018 and the owner ordered the gun with the flutted Barrel. The bag and all factory items were included and the test target was impressive with a one hole group at 15yds. I’m in love and do not miss the .38 Super at all.

Itís hard to deny the full tilt shift toward 9mm. Even Bill Wilson and Ken Hackathorn have made the switch. IMHO, it is here to stay as the most chosen caliber.

Are you going 9mm or 45 in the CQB? Either way, I’m pretty sure you will love it. Congrats.

Wow, thatís a strikingly handsome CQB youíve got there Doc. Looks like it has a few options, 2-tone, fluted chamber/barrel and ball cuts.

Very nice! I really dig it.

That's a real sharp looking CQB! Very nice! Love the options. I sent my CQB barrel off to Wilson to be fluted and flush cut-reversed crowned. Such a great look!

You did really well on the trade. You came out well-ahead!

Thank you guys for the kind words. I hope to get to the range with it soon.

Beauf,

I spent 9 years of my 24 years in the Navy with the FMF. I did Combat tours in Iraq in 04 and Afghanistan in 09. Serving with my Marine brothers was the best time I had in the Navy.

Awesome! I have seen some amazing work done by Corpsmen on my fellow Marines. We always appreciate you guys.

Congrats and welcome to the Wilson family.

Beautiful first Wilson, Doc! Looks like it will shoot like a dream, congrats. Like Tarmy said above, we need to see some dirty range pics, and how it shot for you as well.

Although a Comanche in .38 super would be a great gun, I think you did very well.
