Christensen arms vs Tikka 6.5 CM opinions

I would appreciate some input from the learned owners and shooters of Christensen arms MPR, BA tactical in 6.5 CM. Specifically, regarding the carbon fiber wrapped barrels performance and endurance. Not withstanding, their reduced weight advantage. I would prefer 22-24 barrel length but 26 seems to be more available. How's their triggers? There's not too much on the web.

The other ' in the running' is Tikkas T3x tac A1. I've yet to read anything negative on it. So, if there's any negatives, I would appreciate hearing them.

Are both guns proprietary?

Thanks in advance.

Ps. I'm leaning Tikka, am I wrong?

Thanks for posting.

I guess the next test might have been to do the same thing with a steel barrel.

Don't know about Christensen. Do have Tikka experience...best rifle on earth, for the price.

They do appear to be a good value. Which do you have?
How is the trigger?

I had the heavy barrel varmint in .223. Trigger is consumer adjustable and great. I bought a trigger spring from Ernie the Gunsmith and reduced the pull to around 2#.

I've no experience with the Christensen, but I do own a Tikka T3x CTR which is the exact same rifle as the Tac A1 sans the chassis stock. It was also about $900 less than the Tac A1. I added a McMillan carbon fiber stock and was still several hundred dollars under the cost of an A1 and at least 2 pounds lighter.

You asked about the Tikka trigger which is probably as good as any you'll find. I've got mine set for 2.25 pounds and it breaks like the proverbial glass rod.

Accuracy out of the box is superb. The group pictured below is one from my first trip to the range with it and measures 1/4" center to center. Ammo was factory Hornady 6.5 CM, 140 gr ELD. Range was 100 yds.

Good luck in your decision!

Thanks T. Kanaley. That's a great group and gun. I picked up the Tac A1 and I'd like to lighten the trigger a bit but can't seem to locate the screw in the Magwell (yet)..Now if my scope gets here today, I'll be closer to shooting this thing.
