Glock 19X

I'm thinking that this will be a big seller for Glock. And they'll probably recoup their investment in the MHS trials:

Commander sized Glock. I like it. Full grip , short slide.
Let's hope they make it in black.

I have been wishing my Gen 2 model 23 had a 22 grip size almost since I bought it new way back when.

So, it looks like what everyone that had multiple Glocks has done playing around in their spare time. Though I'd guess most preferred the shorter grip and longer slide (ala the CCO) and this looks like what you do with the leftovers to leave in the safe.

A better version is a G17 with the grip cut down to handle to G19 mags. Long barrels are easier to conceal than long grips.

I'd prefer a 17 slide on a 19 frame. I think that Glock got it backwards.

U....G....L....Y Just about as ugly as a mud fence.
I have a 26, 17 and 43. Each serves a purpose, each is just a tool. No soul no beauty. The 43 is a sometimes carry, the 17 is a house (sometime range gun) and the 26 might be on the way out. All are reliable and combat accurate. No other pros or cons on my own Tupperware collection.

Watching the video the 2nd shooter [ or tactical operator ] was having a hard time with the recoil of the 1st shot, looked like he limpwristed it. I'll pass on a GX-whatever it'called

This gun makes no sense to me.
Its like a goverment framed 1911 with a compact slide.
Besides more ammo on board it just dont help anything else.

A friend of mine had his Gen3 17 done up like that. Found a company that would cut down the 17 frame to except 19 mags, turned out pretty nice.

I've owned one of these for over 20 years. It's called a Glock 19 with a +2 floorplate.

Why on Earth would anyone want a gun that combines a slide with a shorter sighting radius with a frame that's harder to conceal? Was someone at Colt let go and hired by Glock in recent years? They seem to have the same brain-dead ideas on how to innovate.

Avoid the temptation to replace everything on your brand-new 1911 just to make it "better". Know what you're changing out and why. You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

Because Glock has such a huge fan base merely "playing" to it = mind boggling sales. In other words, they do stuff like this because it works which = $$.
