Enhanced Mobile View???????

If I try to load the forum on my phone, I'm getting a "Loading" msg, and further down an option to "Exit Enhanced Mobile View".

The loading never takes place, and I cannot exit the Enhanced Mobile View using the pop up that says that the enhanced etc. will be disabled for 90 days.

Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Have you tried clearing your cache and cookies and then trying to refresh your browser to see if that does it?

Thank you,

~ Glenda

Hi Don, I had that issue when it first popped up. I closed out the browser app and when I went back in it loaded properly. I'm using an iPhone.

The mobile site is unusable on my Android using both Firefox and Chrome browsers. At best the pages load very slowly, and often take half a minute of hanging before I give up. Desktop view works fine from the phone.

Hey @donw - did the suggestions work for you? Let us know.

@Lorenzo - to clarify, its the enhanced mobile view on your android phone with ff and chrome that is too slow? Have you tried clearing your cache/cookies and refreshing the pages? If the issues persist, have you tried the site on Tapatalk? Same with you, @donw see if Tapatalk makes any improvements for you if all else fails.

Thanks guys,

Natalie

- Correct, but the regular desktop view does work fine from my phone.

- I'd rather not bloat my phone with excess apps.

BTW, it looks like HKPro.com is using the same mobile view and I have the same problems there.

can you tell us what browser version your browser is and which android phone? we can try to simulate the issue.

an alternative to exiting enhanced view is to request desktop view from browser settings.

Motorola Droid Turbo XT1254
Android 6.0.1
Firefox 54.0.1
Chrome 59.0.3071.125

I've been using desktop view from my phone which works fine.
Thanks for the follow-up.
Maybe this is a sign it's time to upgrade my 3 year old Droid.

Hey there,

I tried on my Android 6 edge on Chrome and ff and it loaded just fine.
I also had my co-worker test it out on his Moto Z Play Droid and he was able to access the mobile view just fine.
This may be a long shot, but can you try loading the site in chrome incognito page?
Can you also try this out on the android browser?

Richard.

This problem is now occurring for me. I've tried restarting my safari and my phone multiple times. The buttons to use desktop view or use full version do not seem to work.

Are you trying to exit to the enhanced version to access the full site but unable to do so? Have you cleared your cache/cookies and refreshed your browser?

Let us know and we'll go from there.

Cheers,
Nate

I can’t get enhanced to load when clicking button at bottom of screen.

Enhanced is the only way to upload photos it appears.

It seems to be working for me. Clearing your cache and cookies for the site should get you back to using the enhanced mobile view.

Sorry to just get back to you. I didn't realize at the time, but I'm stuck in standard mobile. I switched my phone to private browsing, which then put me into enhanced and does allow me to get back to desktop. It defaults back to enhanced if I close the app. I have closed the browser and restarted the phone several times. Thanks

Is your browser set to clear cookies and cache when you close it down? The choice of exiting out of the Enhanced Mobile View is saved as a cookie file

It's not set to clear, as I don't want it cleared every time, but I have cleared them in an effort to resolve this problem. No joy.

Sorry, does that mean that clearing the cookies did not resolve the issue?
