I just saw this thread this morning, so my prayers go to AC and his family. I have lost several friends and family members to cancer already, and I know how it feels to the survivng family to deal with. I think PastorDW put it best, so I'll leave it at that. God Bless to all our Forum brothers, and God protect you all.

Friends:

I know that our friend Army Chief is still able to check in and he can read your responses. It is your overwhelming support and love that I think will help AC in his fight. He posted the following last night, it brings me to tears every time I read it. He is much stronger than I. Chuck, you are my hero and I am glad to have known you and learn from you.

"I'm humbled by -- and grateful for - your support, brothers.

Although there is little that can actually be done at this point, I remain confident that God has a purpose for this, and have all of the peace that I need for the journey. Wish I could spare the family the sadness of this early separation, but I've been so blessed in my life, and more than anything else, mine is a spirit of gratitude during these final days.

It has been my great honor to serve with you here over the years, and to protect and preserve such a worthwhile resource for our community-at-large. You are patriots, all, and more than this, I count you as friends.

Carry on the work, and know that I will pass with warm thoughts of all that this place has come to mean to me over the years. It has been time well spent, indeed!

AC"

Lord,

You are the way and the light, you are our savior. We pray Lord, that it be your will to heal Army Chief of all illness. To allow him to continue your work here with us, with his family and friends. However it is your will, and we ask that you help Army Chief and his loved ones find comfort and relief that you thy lord are in control. That your plan for all of your children does not end in this world, but continues as you welcome us one by one into your kingdom. When that day comes, let a sense of your warmth fill our bodies, as we will know another child of god has made the journey home, with you where they belong.

In Jesus name,
Amen

Hope it's okay to double post. I have been thinking about AC all day today. I'm sick about it and just want to state my deep respect for him one more time. He always is so sharp, so respectful and so helpful. A tremendous source of information. AC always has an interesting read from the SHOOTER very serious end of the gun where I always worry about my gun being pretty enough and if its not then trade it off and get another one. I think my type drove him crazy. I sure learned a lot from him and changed a blue gun to black and going to start shooting more. Who knows might find an A and a C somewhere on it. Hang tough Army Chief.
