The Wife's pistol

This project started in the summer of 2018. It's finally finished. It was supposed to be a present for Christmas 2018 but....

SA RO frame, Remsport slide, Kart barrel and bushing, (gunsmith fit), John Harrison TR fire control group, Wilson Combat BP other small parts. Dawson magwell and front sight, LOK grips, Kimber KHX optic adapter plate and a Burris FF3 8 moa.

The major amount of fitting was 1st done by Dennis Amsden of Amsden Precision in St. Johnsbury Vt. over last winter. Dustin Housel of HS Custom in Joplin Mo. did the slide cut. The pistol was quite tight and took over 800 rounds of breakin last spring before it was competition ready. We ran out of time last spring to fit rear of the slide to the frame and checker the front strap, ceracote, etc. But it ran perfectly through last seasons' IDPA matches.

This fall I sent the complete pistol back to Dustin for the finishing touches. He installed a new pinned ejector, undercut and checkered the front strap, blended the slide to the frame and ceracoated the frame and associated small parts in her color choice. He even took the time to buff out the scratches in the slide from last summers' use and polish the aluminum magwell.

She's thrilled and I'm extremely satisfied with the quality of Dustin's work, his fair pricing AND his ability to get the work done within the promised timeframe. I highly recommend him.

The cell phone pics don't do it justice.
