The Vermont Legislature may consider new restrictions on carrying in 2020.

The Vermont commies had better pay close attention to what is happening in Virginia. When the Virginia commies are covered in hot tar and chicken feathers they might want to take notes.

How can anyone be stupid enough to really think that a freaking gun ban is going to stop some nut from opening up on a crowd? The only thing that ban will do is to prevent a good guy from properly responding to the nut's attack. Are they living in some crazy, make-believe world???

Brother, where ya been? Of course they don't believe this non-sense. But that's not what this is about. This is about control and stripping citizens of their ability to resist the coming storm. Your choices are thus: Keep your powder dry or invest in shower shoes.

Vermont is much different than Virginia. Die-versity has not hit them yet. Most there are white socialists who have never had to deal with violence or crime ridden ghetto areas. This is Bernie country. Since it's still well over 90% white, violent crime is probably the lowest in the country. They might have some who disagree but they are largely stupid and naive enough to accept gun control.

I said it many times before, we are on coat tails of Hong Kong. VA is the 1st hemorrhoid to come out. VCDL is like prep-H for this issue in VA, but sometimes prep-H does not work, and at that point the inevitable is to remove the hemorrhoid.

The good locals in VA are the front line, but the commi krats are underestimating what the backup power looks like. I have no doubt, good folks from the 48 will commence upon VA if the Patriots of VA make that call out for help !

So a 6-shot .380 Ruger LCP is going to be considered an "assault weapon in Vermont"??? Geez, and I thought WA was nuts when they labeled Ruger 10/22s assault weapons. Apparently this anti-gun turd (note a D- next to his name, as usual) doesn't realize that semi-auto handguns outsell revolvers by a 50-1 margin which means he'd be banning nearly all forms of civilian carry.

Or maybe he does...

You may spend a lot of money fixing things that weren't broken to begin with. Shoot at least 500 rounds through it first, then decide what you don't like and want to improve. Regarding vintage 1911s, pre-1970 pistols are highly collectible in original, unaltered condition and should NEVER be refinished or modified as it completely ruins their monetary value.

The Nagant 7.62 revolvers are 7-shooters! [looks around shiftily] They're Russian, you know...

At least they're not 9-shooters like those Le Mats. Those French gunmakers were deeply weird.

“‘Assault weapons' menacing looks, coupled with the public's confusion over fully-automatic machine guns versus semi-automatic assault weapons --anything that looks like a machine gun is assumed to be a machine gun-- can only increase the chance of public support for restrictions on these weapons.” - attributed to Josh Sugarman, Violence Policy Center.

While this sentiment was unsuccessful in extending the ‘94 (Clinton) ban, it may be true.

Look at the bigger picture.
These commi krats are doing what they want to now because they know Trump will get a 3rd pick for SCOTUS.

"Gun control" is in fact "people control." It really is that simple. "They" don't want "us" to be able to fend for ourselves if necessary and will happily use the salami technique ti slice away our rights one small slice at a time, until few if any are left.

Only if the GOP hangs on to the Senate. But until the Court starts demonstrating support for the 2A what difference does it make? I doubt that anything Northam or the state of Vermont is proposing would be overturned. Most courts today don't even take gun rights seriously.

The only doubt I see currently is if the GOP can take back the House.

When the time comes, the NRA will put some pressure on Trump to pick a good pro2A conservative for SCOTUS. Trump also continues to pick fed judges.

Is it all guaranteed? Nope, but the pro2A/proTrump voters need to be noisy, and now is the time to do it.

I would not assume anything and even if the GOP holds on by a slim margin that will include a couple of never Trumpers like Romney who can screw up a court nomination.

If the needle swings our way, i'll take it and then deal with the RINO's after.

There's no utopian outcome, etc.

And where are you from? With a stupid comment like that, I'd suggest a long gaze in the mirror.

I believe this is why Pelosi went ahead with impeachment. She knows that the Republican-controlled Senate will not impeach. This way, Democrat candidates can whip up their base by saying "Don't vote for them - they failed to impeach Trump!"

Stupid how? Your Senators are Patrick Leahy and Bernie Sanders and your House Rep. is Peter Welch. You think they are going to be voted out of office for pushing more federal gun control? Not saying everyone in Vermont supports more gun control but most voters there are obviously Leftist morons willing to elect even a socialist to the US Senate. There will be no uprising in Vermont like we are seeing in Virginia.

Frankly, I'm shocked pistols aren't already labeled as assault weapons. WMD's is probably more fitting. To the average progressive anyway.

And New Jersey..

I knew several people who made enough $$ to escape NJ. They were the heavy liberal types. They escaped to “Bernieland”.
I wasn’t sorry to either go.
