Optic Valor

Ever seen one?

100% DW Valor 9 except the slide, ECO slide stop, Wilson short trigger & Leupold DPP.

Color me HAPPY after shooting a Kimber KHX for the past 2 years in IDPA CO.

edit: and the Dawson magwell.

Looks as though the RDS is milled in to the slide. Does the optic sit on a plate? Mind sharing who did the milling?

It's a Remsport forged SS slide. The choice is either a Leupold or a Trijicon cut. I chose the Leupold cut. It comes milled for a direct mount. No plate.

I had a gunsmith/machinist friend that I shoot with fit the SLIDE to the FRAME so that I can always just go back to the original DW Valor slide. He even managed to get the OEM bushing to fit by milling bach the slide a few thou.

Thank you, I know you have a few custom optic specimens of your own.

I've only got about a hundred rounds thru it since the makeover. Most of that was zeroing the optic, but I think it's going to be great. I was worried about the 2.5 Deltapoint since my other optics are 8's, but I think it's going to be OK.

Just cleaned it tonight after the zero session and worked on the trigger a bit, Got it to 2.5lbs which is where I like it.

The KHX goes to backup duty in 2020!
