PT1911 with fixed sights

Been shooting mine and noticed at 20 paces a huge chage in trajectory when I use different loads (see below). Have shot many semi-auto pistols and wonder if this is what one can expect from a 1911? I have a Ruger convertible Blackhawk---with the .45 ACP cylinder a change in load requires little sight adjustment, when I shoot different loads in it. I might add....the primers on the loads that shoot to point of aim are "normal" when shot. With the loads that shoot 5" low; the center dimple is scuffed, indicating the pressures are higher. That may well indicate that I must use lower powered/pressure loads. Can send pictures if it would be helpful.

I see little difference in 200 and 230 gr from my guns, but 185s do not shoot even near the same POI.

The barrel of the 1911 is not parallel to the frame rails when in battery - it slopes toward the front. So, a faster load will leave the barrel while its still pointed 'down'. Its just a timing issue. You could just hold over when using the hot ones or put a fully-adjustable rear sight on it.

Ok slightly of topic but I've chosen to go the sight replacement route on my PT1911 and I was wondering if anyone can answer this question.

I've got my heart set on TFO sights and Truglow hasn't been much help.

I do not feel up to custom fitting sights to the slide I'm looking for drop in options.

Can anyone give me a answer to what size front and rear dovetail Tuarus uses?
