New LBCC from John

I just received my first Baer - a custom carry. I ordered from John at CJ1911 Heaven and had a great experience. John was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. My Baer was in the mail the next day. Couldn’t recommend him enough.

Took it out last weekend and ran 550 trouble-free rounds through it. 100 each of Blazer Brass, Federal, Sig, PMC and 50 rds of Federal “silencer”. All rounds were FMJ - figured I’d do this for some break-in before trying carry ammo. Mags were all old (>10yrs old) range mags that had previously caused some trouble in both my TRP’s.

No pics at the moment, but I’ll put some up soon.
Awaiting a milt sparks criterion and some new CMC power mags at the moment.

...No specific point to the thread other than to give John a shout out and applaud Les Baer for making another fine 1911. =) I look forward to some more break-in and then carrying it over the summer.

I bought a custom carry last May in 38 super.

Awesome gun! Instead of 500 rounds before cleaning, I ran 1,200 rounds prior to cleaning still no issues.

Congrats!

My Baer is a Custom Carry Comanche that I bought from CJ nine years ago now.

CJ is definitely the “go to” guy for Baer’s! Congratulations on your new Custom Carry.

Pictures would be nice...

Major infraction starting a thread like this without pics. Major. Like, everyone posting in this thread gets a hundred rounds apiece through that new LB on your dime kind of major.

Better remedy this quick...

Baers are the most wonderful “emotional support animals.”
