My first 1911 9mm

I have always been a die hard 45er but after the little sister shot this group on only the second mag, I have had to reconsider. I just love my Rocks, they just keep getting better and better. Also my first with G10 grips, this also was a eyeopener for an old school shooter.

RIA picture thread!!!

Installed a klonimus magwell on my RIA tac .45 along with textured rubber grip tape on the front strap that feels great with those thin Pearce rubber grips. I couldíve spent all day at the range that day

I have the same pistol. I love the gun but I'm having feeding issues with the factory mag. When the mag has 10 rounds loaded in it the first couple of rounds tend to nose dive in to the feed ramp. With only 7 rounds loaded it runs perfectly. Have you had any problems with feeding ?
Thanks, Jim

If your talking about the 38 supers...no issues I have the 9 round mags and they load just fine no nose diving... I did have ftf on the nickel plated one that one has a ramped barrel. But that stopped once I polished the the feed ramp on it. I did order some Wilson combat mags just to have them in case I ran into the nose diving issue.

Rock and Roll!
Not a 1911, but an RIA nonetheless.

I just picked up a 9mm Officer’s Model in FDE. It makes a nice companion to my full size 9mm…

More pix please? I like that matte nickel plate look and as you said, it's very corrosion resistant.

So, a work in progress. This is my ProMatch Ultra 10mm, I swapped a .40 top end on to it (don't care about the not matching on the dust cover) to make a low budget Limited gun. Installed Dawson sights, Atlas ambi high ride shielded safeties, SSI Nitrofin, Taylor Freelance Fattie magwell, Dawson extended mag release, and a mag release button that was on sale. Got to do some touch up on the finish, but it shoots flat and is fun. Tips the scales at 52oz empty...and runs well with STI Gen 1 mags and the Remington 18rnd mags.

From today, after I got her all cleaned up from a trip to the range (Note: Good God is the latest version of WWB filthy ammo!)

I am now at 1,050 rounds (approx.) and still have had no failures, no problems, no issues, etc... just amazing performance from a beautiful RIA!

A couple Rocks followed me home this weekend.

A 10mm FS in Cerakote Grey,
and a 45ACP CS.

They said I should shelter in place. They didn't say I had to be bored while doing it...
