An issue missed here is that this bill endangers gun owners because it prohibits the ability of each gun owner to test self defense ammo in his/her specific firearm.

There is currently no respectable self defense ammo that does not include lead. In fact there may be none at all. Given that hundreds of rounds of any ammunition, let alone self defense ammo, must be tested in each owners SD gun to ensure proper functionality, this bill puts the lives of gun owners at risk. The time to determine whether or not a defensive round is not 100% functional in an owners chosen firearm is at the range, not when defending his/her family.

Furthermore, the exposure to lead from a bullet shot into a trap or berm is zero for the 90+% of shooters launching TMJ/FMJ rounds.

There's an oxymoron if I ever saw one. A lot of people in LA believed in and supported "reasonable gun laws" until the riots broke out in 1992. Then they were shocked to learn that the 15-day waiting period applied to them as well as the "bad" people. They wanted one thing: to get home alive. Then that "reasonable gun control" meant that they just might not.

Fighting these laws in court (and the people who write them and pass them) is how they plan to bleed us dry...death by a thousand cuts. At some point in time, at some place called America, the Constitution will have to be defended with blood. Not how I planned to spend my golden years...but I'd rather give my life fighting for my country than stand back and watch America be destroyed.
