Shot it some more today, the gun doesn't cycle reliably with S&B standard ammo and at minimum wants 230+P ammo or cases will not be ejected and can be left totally in the gun or part way out but not tilted since the gun didn't go far enough back for the case to contact the stock colt ejector. Accuracy is awesome, I tried to tie the test target standing and did decently using the HSTs since they are powerful enough the gun just cycled like it's supposed to. Lord the mainspring hits the living hell out of the primers, I actually thought it was going to pierce a few of them, way too hard of a hit if you ask me.

Also noticed when cleaning it out Wilson added in a blue devil lol! I will be leaving it there for the real loads so it doesn't harm the gun frame.

Ok, if I follow your logic, then I can see why you tried to fit the barrel yourself, cause you snagged the pistol for only $580, worse case scenario if you messed up the barrel, just send it to Wilson and get a few custom touches while itís there.

This worked out well for you, the pistol is a sharp looking tack driver now. But, I donít think you messed up the barrel install as bad as you think you did, because if you seriously trashed it, then some mill work or extensive smithing may have been required, in which case, I believe a service fee wouldíve applied.

But, itís all just speculation on my part. Not that it really matters, because in the end, your expectations were exceeded. Hopefully youíll get a chance to test that puppy out.

Just read your follow up. Pop that blue devil out and try those S&B loads again.

That makes sense, I was surprised because the hood, lugs, feet, and rear of the hood were all very wrong on the barrel and I had to slowly file and fit a lot of material off and in the end the link was the wrong length and the barrel was a seriously hard fit since I didn't want to remove too much. The colt has a narrow barrel hood while the clark barrel is was a "modern" style one so I have to take off like .12 inch or more there just to even get the barrel to close. Then the front two lugs were too wide and I felt like I was seriously hacking on it doing a few swipes and seeing if I could ram the gu closed

I would be honestly amused if I didn't actually mess it up badly! I have a weird mindset that if the gun is under $2000 then I am not scared to smith it myself and so far I haven't broken anything yet except this one lol!
