To further the confusion, Coleman once sold gasoline stoves. I'm not sure what the difference was.

Modern gasoline doesn't keep well and is stinky when it burns. Off-brand lantern fuel costs very little more, and you don't have to wonder about strange carcenogenic additives in the fuel.
