I have the oportunity to buy a Colt Delta Elite. Upon inspection it has an aftermarket grip safety that doesn't fit very well, the "idiot scratch", some deep scratches around the MS housing pin and at the rear of the plunger tube. There is slight pitting of the frame at the rear edge of the rubber grip panels, I assume from sweat and not being cleaned. This gun was not well cared for. The gun comes with blue plastic box and manual. Any estimates as well as prices seen in gunshops would be well appreciated.
I forgot to mention that the Delta is stainless. Does that change any of the values that are mentioned? The internals needed cleaning so I cleaned them in my sonic cleaner and they looked pretty good afterward.
Yes it does. From what I've seen the stainless guns go for around 750.00 up. Stainless will be easier to fix scratches although I am not sure how it could of got the pitting you mentioned. Stainless Colts don't usually have rust issues. Should still clean up nice.
