I bought a designed 10 round 9mm mag awhile back. I don’t recall if it was Metalform or Mecgar - I want to say Metalform. It would choke only on the first round when fully loaded to 10 rounds. Anyway, I bought the extra power Wolf mag springs, trimmed to length and the problem went away. I have come to the conclusion that within sensible limits you can’t have too much spring in a 1911. Highly tuned bullseye softball guns are another story. Maybe even soft loaded steel guns.

I don’t have issues with 9 round 9mm nor seven round 45 Metalforms, and some 8 rounders, as purchased. But when the springs wash out I use the Wolf Extra Power mag springs.
