I don't have one myself so I can only attemt to answer your question regarding speed and weight of the hammer. Increasing lock time, the time it takes the hammer to hit the firing pin, is consider good in competition as it will make your splits faster and a lighter hammer is less likely to disturb the pistol when the hammer falls. It is somewhat like the Colt or Ruger Single Action Revolver having a hammer that hits the frame so hard that it tends to cause the whole pistol to move. I think only a Grandmaster in IPSC would likely notice the difference more than us mere mortals.
