Many years ago I used WD40 to wipe down my guns. It will dry just like varnish. I expect if used for gun oil it may well shut down a tightly fitted gun.

Wrong, in a revolver you lose some pressure due to the cylinder gap. Lead bullets have a lot less resistance going thru the bbl compared to jacketed bullets, the HBWC made of soft lead seals better...

Shock buffs don't reduce perceived recoil. I shoot 1911 guns and a 625 revolver. the revolver slaps your hand considerably harder than a 1911 gun. May be time to switch to a .38 revolver.

My 9MM Valkyrie works with my hand loads as well as factory loads. Your hand loads need to be as close as possible to factory loads, if not it ain't the gun's fault.
