If corrosion resistance is the goal then one ought to skip chrome altogether.

And fwiw there are several other downsides to chrome.

The upside is that it looks good.

Frame, Slide & Sear are made from Barstock.

Barrel is forged.

Slide stop, thumb safety, grip safety, mainspring housing, ejector, disconnector are all cast.
