Congrats, the CQB in any caliber is a great gun. I will admit that I have not shot one in 10mm but mine in 9mm and .45 are great. You will like it.

Just for my range practice loads, I have been using X-Treme 230 gr HP’s with 4.2 gr of N-310 and get 779 FPS out of my 5”. Very nice comfortable round to shoot.

I run shock buffs in my 5” guns without any issues. You could try a new one and see what happens in case that individual buff was the problem or just shoot it without one. Certainly not required.
